At the last meeting of the Full Council, Councillor Chris Hutt tendered his resignation due to increasing family commitments. During his 10 years of devoted service he was both Chair and Vice-Chair of the Parish Council and the time and commitment given by him in those years was incalculable. We wish Chris a happy future enjoying his time with his family and in particular his growing brood of grandchildren. He will be much missed by staff and Councillors alike.
As a result of Chris’ resignation there is now a Casual Vacancy at the Council. If you are interested in becoming a Councillor, please write to the Parish Clerk indicating what skills you can bring to the Council. You will then be asked to attend the next Full Council meeting. If more than one candidate has applied, you will be asked to give a very brief presentation to the Council, after which Councillors will be asked to vote to select a new Councillor.
To be eligible you must be age 21 years or over; be on the Electoral Roll of the Parish, or, during the whole of the past 12 months, either lived in the parish, owned or leased land in the parish, worked in the parish, or lived within three miles of it.
