CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) – UPDATE ON PARISH COUNCIL FACILITIES

Information on this page will be regularly updated, but for the latest news, please always refer to Government Guidance first. Health advice can be found on the NHS Website.

Latest advice is to stay alert. We are closely monitoring and following Government advice and the current status of our facilities is as follows:

The Poplars Sports Ground

The process of re-opening the Poplars Sports Ground, following the latest government guidance to reduce levels of lock-down, has now tentatively begun. Following requests from both the Archery and Bowls Clubs to recommence and with full risk assessments, these two sports have now started back under strict regulation.  The remainder of the Poplars Sports Ground, including the club house, grass pitches, petanque and the 3G pitch are still CLOSED until further notice.

Roberts Recreation Ground and The Grove

Following Government advice to close all playgrounds, Roberts Recreation Ground is now CLOSED.  The Grove remains OPEN, but users are reminded of the government restrictions and must ensure they always keep 2 meters away from others and for a maximum of 6 people to meet.

Cemetery

Cemeteries in England without Crematoria can remain OPEN. Further information and guidance can be found at:
