Council Committees and their Functions

All Parish Councillors sit on the Main Council that meets once a month, primarily to ratify and approve minutes and decisions made by Sub Committees.

There are currently 4 Committees

Burton Joyce has 11 Councillors

Parish Council

Responsible for the upkeep, income, availability and maintenance of the Poplars Sports ground.

It also manages Sports Club contracts and Licensees

Poplars Sports Ground Committee

This Committee deals with setting annual budgets , controls expenditure and capital expenditure and audit functions to ensure compliance to regulations.
