Welcome to Burton Joyce Parish Council.
Located 7 miles east of Nottingham city, our thriving riverside village of 3,500 residents has many amenities, clubs and societies for residents to enjoy, including independent coffee shops, pubs, food outlets, a Post Office, primary school, church, village hall and a number of retail outlets, making for a vibrant and active community.
With an annual budget of £400k (plus additional project funds) the Council is responsible for managing the Poplars Sports Ground, Roberts Recreation Ground, Old School Building, The Grove, Allotments, Cemetery, Millennium Sundial, War Memorial and the floral displays throughout the village.
Served by 11 volunteer councillors, the Full Council meets on a monthly basis, with 6 sub-committees meeting between times. The agendas and minutes for all our meetings can be found on the ‘Committees’ tab of the website and on our noticeboard outside the Co-op supermarket. The Parish Council welcomes public engagement at its meetings.
